I read hundreds of stories a year an have favorite authors for sure. Annette Mori has ascended to my most favorite authors list. "Asset Management" was brilliantly written. One of my favorite thing to do when reading a story is to try to figure out the "who, what, when and where! I just love a story that throws me a curve and surprises me. Bravo Annette you did it. Here is the one problem I have with the story! I still can't figure out who my favorite character is~ There is Toni who is charming, funny, and brilliant. Rhonda, the muscle of the organization who is a secret teddy bear. Char, who I imagined to be oh, so beautiful and irresistible. Dani, who couldn't love her! Then you find yourself cheering on Kim and Sophie. Basically, if you want an awesomely great story which will keep you turning the pages, characters who are very well developed, and some sexy romantic tension which is well fulfilled, here you have it!Product details

I can't believe Annette. She had me cracking up with all the Sarcastic lines in this book. Toni and Sophie cracked me up all the time. And Ronda wanting to kill people and blow stuff up. I liked the storyline of how the took the money and helped people. Crosses my arms I was left with to many questions...I hope you are writing a sequel to this book. I do recommend this book.
I loved this book! It had adventure, intrigue,romance, and awesome characters. The storyline moved along flawlessly and kept me totally involved.
If these characters were to appear again for another adventure, I would be along for the ride. Annette Mori has produced a great book. I look forward to reading more of her work.
The characters were strong, intelligent and passionate.
I admired their commitment to their work and each other.
The different strengths and talents they each possessed made them work.
I particularly liked the respect they had for each other and understanding where they each exceled .
Here's what I loved about this story - the characters immediately drew me into their suspenseful, kick-ass world of mystery and intrigue from page one and refused to let me go. I love when a story does this to me. I cared about these women. I wanted to jump into the pages and help them take down the evil! I related to these characters and rooted for them. They felt like old friends by the end. Annette has a wonderful way of weaving a story line and keeping readers guessing where she's going to take them next. What a ride! She also has an incredible knack for luring us in with a sweet romance. Great balance between action and romance. Highly recommend!
This is the third book by Ms. Mori I've read. And the third completely different style of writing employed, making it so delightful - showing the breadth of her abilities as a writer! The first chapter sets up a trio of women as operatives in an organization whose purpose is yet to be totally discovered. The beginning of the second chapter, however, one of the main characters, Toni, runs across a character she's interacted with in the first chapter, and gives her a 'wink'; such a *powerful* word used here, a word which sets off a cat and mouse game. A game you have absolutely no idea the magnitude of which at this point in the book. What a wonderful wordsmith Ms. Mori is! More than once you are led down the lilac path, believing you know you know what lies ahead, only to learn that you know absolutely nothing, and are about to be educated in a completely different set of circumstances. What makes this book perfect for me, is that Ms. Mori manages to weave in romances between more than one set of women, in different set of circumstances. I can't say more than that without giving away what you will have to read for yourself, but she does so exquisitely! And I do so adore loving romances, I freely admit. Once again, Annette, Well Done You!!!! Bravo!!! Another must read, no surprise here!
This is the kind of story I've been waiting for. Strong, intelligent women capable of playing secret agent right up there and even exceeding the big boys. I would like to think that Tom Clancy would be proud. I know I am because it's about damn time that an author can bring forth so many intriguing female characters in this fantastic story. What's even better is that it's not your run of the mill secret agent story either. Our three initial heroines Toni, Sophie, and Kim are out to put a dent in filthy politicians pockets by craftily steeling their millions via online and giving it away to those in need ala Robin Hood. Unbeknownst to them there is another secret organization (sans government - we think) that wants to recruit these women to use their same tactics to bring down a big player in human sex trafficking. A most worthy cause. Char is their lead operative and not only convinces them to join forces but falls in love with Toni. The witty banter between them is sweet, titillating (pun intended), and super hot. Oh, don't forget that these women are kicking ass and taking no prisoners when it comes to beating up the bad guys. These girls will keep you riveted with their moves and intelligence. I gotta say that this author is one to watch - her writing is polished and storytelling is brilliant. I doubt you will need a bookmark when reading her books - you gotta know what happens next.
While I would have liked to give this book 5 stars, I cannot. I actually felt a bit cheated. I needed more than immediate repartee from the women. IMO, there's no way that you fall that quickly every time to someone you've just met. And...................after meeting, you're sucking each others faces and jumping into bed with each other.
I enjoyed the technical goodies but I wanted so much more for the story to be longer. The book ended so abruptly that I'm saying to myself, "What the heck? That's it? Where's the rest?" One last thing that bothers me a lot. Are all lesbians absolutely gorgeous, unbelievable eyes and bodies to match? Just once I would like to read about a girl with mousy hair and brown eyes that might also not have a body that is completely toned and perfect. Might even be a bit overweight. You know..........real!! Merely an opinion.
